Zoom Groom Zoom has been grooming

the Newnan and surrounding areas since 2016.

Hi, I'm Michelle the owner and operator of
Zoom Groom Zoom.  For several years I have been having to turn down customers, turn down business, reject phone calls.....if customer's can't get Michelle to come groom their pups then at least you can get trained by Michelle and start your own mobile business! 

 

We have renovated an additional vehicle for our first employee back in 2020 and after realizing how hard it is to find good hardworking employees AND keep them happy with their pay, I thought what better way than to teach someone the skill and provide them with all the information needed to start their own mobile business! 

 

TRAINING SCHEDULE:  8 weeks, M-F, 7:30 - 5PM (flexible)  

 

During first 3 weeks of training student will learn the following: 

 

• Layout of bus.  Learn how to set up said vehicle at customer’s location.  Learn how to greet customers and dog upon arrival.  Learn how to return dog and close the sale with the customer. Learn how to handle new/returning dogs.  How to properly pickup or restrain dogs on table.  Learn how to properly ear pluck dog’s ears and what breeds require it.  Learn how to ear clean.  Learn external anal expression.  Learn how to nail trim/dremel.  Learn how to trim the pads/bottom of feet.  Learn how to use the high-powered dryer and properly dry different breeds. Student will be bathing all dogs on their own about 1 to 2 weeks into this session (depending on student).

 

During next 3 weeks of training student will learn the following: 

 

• Learn how to perform a sanitary-trim.  Learn how to clipper cut.  Learn the appropriate clipper styles for particular breeds.  Learn how to keep groomer’s notes for each client. How to take before/after pics of clients.  Learning to handle daily stress of being on their own during grooms.  Most grooms will be performed by the student on their own about 1 to 2 weeks into this training session.  

 

During final 2 weeks of training student will learn the following: 

 

• How to shut down the bus at the end of the day.  Learn the extra steps needed to shut down said vehicle at the end of the work week and any additional steps needed to take before closing down for a Holiday/vacation time.  Student will learn what equipment is being used and how to properly care for said equipment and how to properly maintain said equipment.  Expected life of said equipment will also be discussed.  During this time discussing how to set up your new/upcoming business which can include state license required, how to secure business name, domain name, website design, business card design, how to advertise, how to set up business page on Facebook.  This is the time to ask all the questions you can think of!  ALL of this while still grooming dogs!
